Origin Of Ice Tea

Jul 13th 2017

It was 1904 World's Fair and Richard Blechynden, India Tea Commissioner and Director of the East Indian Pavillion, was desperate to promote Indian tea. The weather was extremely hot and humid in St. Louis that summer and no one was interested in drinking something hot. Richard decided to  add ice to his tea and the concoction was an instant success.

To this day the U.S.  is the world's largest consumer of iced tea.

Three more days through July 15th our ice tea bag teas are on sale. http://www.sereneteaz.com/iced-tea/
