Green Tea

Green Tea is harvested from the Camellia Sinesis plant.

Processing

Green Tea leaves are processed differently between Chinese and Japanese cultures.

The Chinese prefer to harvest whole tea leaves through an Orthodox method and pan fire the leaves.

Japanese-styled teas are harvested as smaller pieces of the leaves through a process called CTC (Cut-Tear-Curl). These smaller leaves are then steamed.

Caffeine

The Camellia Sinesis plant naturally contains caffeine. The amount of caffeine in Green Tea is generally between 20mg per 8oz cup.

Steeping

Green Tea should be prepared using non-boiling water (around 190 degrees Fahrenheit/ 87 Celcius) and 1 teaspoon per 8oz cup.

Each of the Serene Teaz White options indicates the necessary steeping instructions to enjoy.
