Decaffeinated Tea

Decaffeinated Tea is harvested from the Camellia Sinesis plant.

Processing

Decaffeinated tea are processed the same way as a caffeinated leaf to obtain the oxidation level desired.

After the oxidation process has completed, the leaf is rinsed with water to wash away the majority of the caffeine (caffeine is water soluble).

Caffeine

The decaffination process will remove the majority of caffeine. However, there will be some residual level of caffeine left within the leaves.

Steeping

Decaffeinated Tea should be prepared using the same instructions as the caffeinated option.
