We generally recommend caffeine-free or decaffeinated teas to help people with relaxation or sleep issues. Tea itself does contain an amino acide named L-Theanine that has been shown to help relax the mind. A white tea with a lower caffeine levels could also be used if the individual isn’t caffeine sensitive.
Additionally, certain herbs will provide a calming effect (the most popular are camomile, hibiscus, and lavender).
We have a couple teas that may help. Our Herbal, Serene which consists of camomile, lemon myrtle, lavender and spearmint. Another is just camomile which is also great by its self. Other teas that have lavender in them may help also (Provence Rooibos, African Queen).
I hope this helps. These are all caffeine free.
